This past weekend over 30 youth around the Diocese gathered at our beloved St. Crispin's to connect with God and one another. Ignite is a retreat for high schoolers focused on exploring thoughts and beliefs, being with friends, and experiencing God at St. Crispin's. Youth join in small groups to explore how God is moving in their lives. They shared stories, sang songs, and danced the night away!
Our Diocesan Children & Youth Coordinator, Teresa Phares shared why Ignite is important for our youth, "Youth events and programs like Ignite provide opportunities for our youth to be formed deeply in a community with other diocesan youth and mentors that is based on shared values, inclusiveness, and grace. Seeing how engaged the high schoolers are in this community gives me so much hope for the way that Christ remains at the center in their care for each other and in their desire to raise each other up as they live into their own unique callings and leadership rolls."
